« on: May 15, 2009 - 09:14:07 PM »
I had hoped to acheive 30 mpg... couldlnt get it... but it does get 26-27... and I have to admit at about 75-80 mph.
no a/c running.. windows down most times.  I bet it would if my rear gearing wasnt 391.  65 mph I tach about 1500rpm.(6th)
I am in Florida currently and will be headin' back home sunday. Maybe I'll take it easier to see if I can hit the magic #...  :2thumbs:

We installed a 1995 Dodge truck 5.9 with the A518 overdrive in my wife's 73 limelight cuda. It has 3.55 gears and the cruise control system out of the Dodge truck. It gets 29 mpg with the cruise set at 70 mph with no a/c and the windows down. Stock truck computer. We were surprised...and delighted.
Now I need to put the 5.7/5-speed auto that I bought into one of my other cudas.

Hey Hot, did your A518 have a three wire extension housing wire harness?  I got mine out of a 90 B250 van and has only two wires (no lockup converter).  How did you hook it up for the 4th speed?  :dunno:

Welp... home today.  didnt get the 30 I was hoping for,, in fact the Mileage dropped on the last two legs of the trip (thank you southern states that sell 10% ethanol fuel).  25-26 was best on the way home.
