What type of fan switch, degrees ?
« on: May 16, 2009 - 02:26:46 PM »

Hi Guys..

I got my new stock replacement radiator from summit, nice produkt..  But they placed the fan switch in the top of the radiator. So the fan starts to earlie, The switch turns on with 185 degrees and turn off at 175 degrees..  My Question is, could i mount a 200/185 degrees fan switch or will it be to riski..

My termostart is a 160 degrees.

Engine 318.

Thanks Guys

I would change the thermostat to the 180 , this way the engine will be happier & the hot water won`t hit the rad until over 180* & turn the fan on , a 200/185 switch will work as well

HI

Thanks Chryco

I will order a new termostat and a fan switch, and try it out.
