Progress on the Demon
« on: May 09, 2009 - 08:36:33 PM »
We made some good headway on the Musclecar Ministry 71 Demon.

And the Lord provided for us again today. I went and did some yard work for one of the members of our church, some fence repair and dirt work, and when I got ready to leave, she asked if I wanted some her late husband's old tools. Well, there were four jackstands, an engine hoist, two floor jacks, and some nice new chain, all of which will be put to good use on the Demon project.

We're still tearing it down.

Randy I asked on the other post where this project is going to be done at and you never answered. I live in Weatherford and I was wanting to come check it out but you never answered me.

Sorry about that lemming.  The car is in Grapevine. I live in Keller. We have a shop off of Dallas Drive in Grapevine. It's easier to contact me for directions via e-mail at rj.rj2@verizon.net, and i will get back to you.

Again, my apologies.

Let me know when you are ready for the stripes.  I will come by and install them (gratis - of course).

Randy, I'll email you in the next few days. I am between jobs right now, so I'm working on finding a new one.

Looks like a really cool Demon Randy. It even has the prerequisite air conditioning  :2thumbs:  As you have need, post them up in your build thread or a seperate thread. You will probably get a fair share of parts offers.

I made some more progress today. I removed the front bumper and panel beneath it. I also removed the grill and got it down to the radiator support. The radiator support is busted. If I can't weld it, I'll be looking for a new one, along with a grill and fender extensions. For those who have volunteered to donate parts, if you have some 70 - 72 Dart/Demon front end parts, I could put them to good use.

One of the previous owners ran the front end up on a high curb and I'm finding a lot of damage that was hidden. She was a bit over the legal limit so I was told.

Should be pulling the engine and tranny out this Saturday. Pictures will be posted soon.
