Bent or offset rear hanger?
« on: May 28, 2009 - 12:00:50 AM »
Check this out, is this bent or is it offset? I have seen some that are sold that are 1" offset, and i don't know if this is an lod one or not. I am going to have to do some serious measuring, i guess. :clueless:

So hears the deal. I measured my axle, center to center on the leaf springs(on the axle) it measured 46". Measured the car where the front hangers attache, and it only measures 45", center to center. No wonder the hangers are bent a bit. So what the heck is going on.  :clueless:

Send the springs to a shop and get them reconditioned , new bushings would be in order also..

E-Body rear frames are not parallel, neither are the rear springs.

Your front hanger is bent.
