All the gas stations in my town just 'upgraded' their pumps to comply with California's excessive environmental regulations.  This means they put a bulky rubber vapor guard over the filler.  The flip top gas cap on my challenger pushes the nozzle away from the car so it doesnt get a good seal and the pump wont work.  Anybody else have this problem or know of a good solution.

I haven't seen one yet perform but it looks like it might do the job on sealing?

That won't work with a Challenger flip-top, too big.  The pump here in ILL. and MO. have been like that for a while.  I have to work the head into mt housing and hold it the entire time while pushing down and sometimes turning the handle to point up or it will keep shutting off.  I'm going to get my car now, so I'll get a pic.

For example in the wonderful state of Arkansas, there is actually a law that states you can not walk a cow after 1 pm on Sunday. There's also a law in Arkansas that states the Arkansas river can not rise higher than the Main street bridge in Little Rock. url=http://littlerock.about.com/cs/factsfun/a/strangelaws.htm]http://littlerock.about.com/cs/factsfun/a/strangelaws.htm[/url]

This is what they look like in MO.

You have to wedge it in there trying not to catch the cap spring.

I have to push it in HARD and hold it there the entire time or it wont pump.

On the ones here in CA, if you pull the boot really far back (to where you can see a little ring like a ">" on the tube) it should pump without the boot touching....
