I put my Rallye Guages in a few weeks ago, and everything was working great. Tach worked fine, probably not as sensitive as one that has been re-built -- but it worked fine. Out for a ride today and all of a sudden the tach goes crazy -- drops to zero then back up to 2,000 then down -- jumping up and down. No change in the motor.... ran just fine. I stopped for gas and re-started -- all was fine. I guess I'll have to take it all out this Fall before I lay her up for the winter and have her rebuilt -- but does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I have a MOPAR electronic ignition; tach wire mounted to the (-) side of coil.

loose wire?
bad ground?

hey did you ever get your chrome for the belt molding ordered?

I checked the wire at the coil. Probably need to pull the whole guage set to figure out if the ground is loose.... Haveing just installed it -- think I'll wait until Fall (it's not THAT much fun).....

No, still haven't found the Qtr Belt Moldings.
