Mobil 1 Sale
« on: June 10, 2009 - 11:39:44 PM »
Autozone is have an "Oil Change Special" sale on 5-qts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 oil filter for $29.99.  This is a savings of $18 off the normal price!  I picked up 7 qts and a filter for the SRT-8 and may go back to stock up for the next oil change.  FYI :woohoo:

Sounds like a good deal on mobil 1.  too bad I am not there to get some at that price.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

I want to change my Chally over to Mobil 1. At how many miles is a good place to do this. Right now it has 800 or so on it.

Your new one?  Isn't Mobil 1 what the factory fills it with?  At least on the SRT8's, there is a Mobil 1 sticker right on the oil fill cap, and I thought they did the same with the 5.7's.

As soon as you want to, the 6.1 start life with mobil 1 so I am sure you would be ok any time to change.

Is it safe for me to switch to mobil 1 on my 70 Chally 440-6?  It now has 2700 miles on a rebuild and has been running Valvoline racing oil for break in.  It has a roller cam.  :feedback:

Yes, but your cam needs the Old School zinc that they are taking out of modern oil. There are still other oils that have it, but if you go Mobil 1, you might want to add a bottle of this..

Do I still need the zink even with a roller cam?
