painted=show finish great for a total show car but can chip

undercoated=perfect acceptable good for helping seal the underside and thats how they came from the factory

Truck bed liner= tough as it gets wont ever have to worry about rust or damage can be color matched for the paint the big draw back is about impossible to remove

I think mine will be undercoated again like it was from the factory.  Or something that will do even better sound deading and rust protection like por's stuff.

Mine is painted underneath.  It is a bit more work to roll under there once in a while to wipe it down and touch up any chips, but it gives me a good reason to admire how nice it can look when the chassis is detailed too.  It is definitely not a show car.  I generally only drive it on nice days, seldom in the rain and almost never on gravel.  I do have the wheel wells undercoated.

factory type undercoat if you plan to drive it much and not have to worry about it

For your car I voted painted and undercoated like the factory.

Mine will be truckbed liner.  But, mine will be a street driver, so I want sound deadening and chip protection.  I have had painted undersides before, and they are a pain to take care of if it's a driver.

My car was made in LA and it has it thick from the factory. I sure am glad it was installed.  No rust and zero problems. Easy to clean if I need to. Course my computer room could use a cleaning to
