California Duster
« on: June 17, 2009 - 06:59:25 PM »
Does anyone here use a California Duster to clean the dust off their E bodies ( or other nicely painted rides)? I am considering one to dust off the 'Cuda but am having a tough time believing it won't scratch the paint over time. I am looking for everyone's experience.

I use one on mine. Just make sure you don't pick up any rocks or chunks of mud with it and it will be fine.

I have yet to use one on any of my cars, but I know my friend loved his on his rather expensive Sikkens paint job as well as I've seen many used at the car shows on regionally-recognized cars.  As mentioned, as long as there aren't obvious contaminants on it, it should work well.  After all, their slogan is something like it only continues to work better the more it is used/picks up dust. :2thumbs:

The only way it can cause a problem is through misuse. Most people don't know how to use them.

I used them on all my cars. Just remember it is a DUSTER not a WASHER and you will have no problems.

Seems to work fine. I just give it a tap on the leg now and again to loosen the collected dust.
