Listing Wire for 70 Cuda Front Seats
« on: June 15, 2009 - 12:32:37 PM »
Does anyone know where to get "listing wire" for seat covers?  It's the wire that goes in the front seat inserts in stock 70 Cuda Vinyl seats.  Legendary seat covers don't come with it, and they don't carry it (you're supposed to reuse your old listing wire).  Unfortunatly, my original listing wire is long gone since my car was reupholstered with non-stock covers decades ago.

The sales rep said it's just wire, pick it it up at a hardware store.  Has anyone purchased replacement listing wire?  Or, can anyone describe what the stuff looks like?

It is just a straight thick wire / rod. You can use the old style metal coat hangers in a pinch. I have used the wire they sell at harware stores for hanging suspended ceilings when coat hanger bottoms are not quite long enough...

The ceiling wires are stiffer too.
