Anyone ever heard of? Ignition question
« on: June 04, 2009 - 11:22:20 PM »
I would like to know if anyone of you have heard of a dist. that is clearly electronic but has not vacuume advance. We got one of these in to our shop the other day and it is clearly a small block dist. It only has 2 wires coming out of it and looks like my stock one. I guess my questions is does anyone know how this thing works without a vacuum advance? The dist. is not a US brand.

there are 2 Mopar dist without dist vacuum advance , the later Lean burn dist had no vacuum advance & had no mechanical advance so it will not work without a computer to control advance , I have seen a mopar dist with a lock out of the vacuum advance but still had mechanical but it may have been fabricated
