OK So after much deliberations I have decided to give Southernpolyurethanes a try. I have been seaching the internet for days looking for input on different techniques and products to go with. The car was originally shot with Spies Hecker (Standox). It has lasted the test of time and still looks pretty good. But having stored the car outside in Northeast weather took its toll. So now i'm redoing the car and updating the techniques that were used. The car was primed in etching primer. No more of that. Will be done in epoxy. It was also sot in a single stage technique. It worked. It worked so good the one day a girl decided to try and sit on the front fender of the car a slid off. The car was smooooth. They did a great job. But the products scare the hell out of me they seem very complicated to use. Southerpoly products seem much more user friendly. Been reading their documents for most of the day and looks good to me. Also have seem some of the test results with their primers and they had very good results. I have heard the PPG is no longer what it used to be and Dupont is not good either. The lead free thing killed them.
So here we go. Will give you guys updates on the results as they occur. If anyone has any previous experience with the company, some input would be great.
