Depends on a number of things-
1.Location/shop will vary hourly rate from $30-100/hour and material cost will also vary by location and what type and brand you use.Number of base coats will vary depending on color/coverage and clear will be 2 minimun and maybe up to four coats or more.

2.What shape the paint is in-is it the factory paint or a repaint? Some shops will paint over anything, some only over the original factory paint and some will require stripping everything. The paint may look to be in great shape to you but an experiecned paint guy may find alot of problems with it.

There are other factors but figure materials can run from $500-5000 and labor from 1000-10000.Around here if the paint is really in great shape getting a real nice quality job would be between $2500-6000,any lower you are getting a poor job and any more you are getting bent over IMO- but again depending on where you live things could be very different.

Our Cuda, which was had all the body work complete, shoould have been 10,000.

But since we left it with the shop and told them to use it as a filler job, we got a HUGE disscount,
but at the same time we couldn't say when we would get the car back.
It was perfect for free winter storage though.

All said and done they final block sanded the car, pulled the removable pieces, painted/clear coated, reasemblled, set the gaps, and buffed for almost 6,000.

I have to say, the car is just beautiful, and any other car I care about would recieve the same kind of "pro" paint.

I too had a cheapy paint job done one a car, and sure it was all the same color and was shiney, but there is a night and day difference.
