**IMPORTANT READ THIS, SAT NIGHT DINNER?**
« on: July 07, 2009 - 09:14:23 AM »
Jeff, not trying to steal the show or anything I wouldnt want your job being the cat herder for dinner trust me!

If we could please finalize plans for dinner on Sat night?  Is it just me or does it seem that there is not a consensus on this issue?

I didnt make it to last years show/dinner so Im kinda out of the loop on what and where dinner was ect.  I know in the past Jim (WSM) set it up without too much discussion and there was a large turn out and a good time had by all.

Jeff voulenteered to take over cat herding duties because he is from the area and knew of a couple of places that would be out of the way and be able to facilitate such a large group.  I guess what Im trying to say is do we have a decsion on where dinner is going to be and time? If not can the members who are planning to go to dinner Sat night copy and paste your name in this thread so Jeff can track it?

Also if anyone has any suggestions for dinner get with Jeff, so he can organize/track ect.

Sorry I just hate lingering details and I know this will help Jeff out...

Jeff and Jim thanks for your efforts over the course of the years as far as dinner goes, I always had a great time!  Like I said not a job I would want!!!  You guys make it look easy.

Jeff is in Chicago today on a job interview, but he said he was going to contact "Your Place" about a reservation for us. We had plenty of elbow room last year, and we didn't have to wait three hours to get our food.

It was great to be on the patio to look out at our cars too!

Well lemme just cast the vote for the 25 people who attended.  :)

I'm sorry it wasn't as well-organized as I had hoped, but in my defense we had 66% more people than I had planned on!!

I THINK we can all agree that while the service was a smidge slow and the bill-paying process was a tad confusing, it still wasn't nearly as bad as the 2007 arrangement at Grandpa's Growler.  Hopefully we can all work together in 2010 to have a more accurate head-count ahead of time and possibly plan on the buffet for next-year's show.  I think the ability for everyone to show up and be eating within minutes was a HUGE plus for those that attended in 2008.

I will most likely not be 20-minutes next year (I may not even be a cuda owner by next year) but I'll still plan on arranging dinner and helping out the club.

I have NO problems with the service last night. Keep in mind, she served us all with a sense of humor. All those people and we still got out in good time(my opinion).  If anyone any one wanted to give her crap, I'm sure they would be dead right now.   :grinyes:

I thought it was good for only one waitress and all of us ordering at the same time.
