Old School Magazine Spreads
« on: July 01, 2009 - 09:53:00 AM »
I thought it would also be neat to break out some old school magazine spreads of hopped up cars from the 70's and 80's. I hope its ok to post these as long as I give credit to the source. These first two are from Hot Rod Magazine, November 1979. This first one is apparently a modded real 71 Hemi Cuda. I wonder where this car is now and if its been changed back to original.

Here's one from Hot Rod August 1978. I love the Cuda and would drive it just like it is. That Vette however... :eek4:  :eek4:  :eek4:

Just wish I  had stocked up some of those that I used to have.  I remember getting even better deals than that.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Wow, I remember seeing that magazine with the purple Cuda with the flames when I was in high school.  At the time, I thought that was the coolest car I'd ever seen.  Wonder what ever happened to it.

Yeah, I'd like to know what kind of shape all of these cars are in today. I think all of the Sox and Martins cars are restored and accounted for. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I love seeing those old 70-80's modified cars!  Reminds me of my child hood!  Great pics!  Thanks!
