Ok, its too soon to say "DONE".......but wow!
I dropped a small nail into each of the primary air bleeds. I also blew out the IMS ports. Added a fuel pressure gauge (I am running about 6.5 or so....somewhat erratic what with the chuggy idle) and I replaced the PCV grommet and installed a new PCV valve.
The idle is still really low...like 500 rpms......chuggy and sounds like a model T......but off the line is better (remember I am missing my secondary linkage!)......the idle still jumps up to around 1100 if I drop into neutral and rev her.....If I shift into neutral at a light she goes up from 500 to maybe 650 or so and idles fine...lumpy, but fine.
Lots of power going up hills, etc, at least at around 35-45 mph.
I actually lit up the tires when making a right turn up a slight grade (ok, a jeuvenile stunt, but she wouldnt stop spinning! LOL)
I didnt stop too many times but it didnt feel imminent that she was going to conk out.....that very low idle freaks me a little and I would like to bring it up some....but then if/when it jumps up (after revving in neutral) she really climbs.....
This was also my first night time ride!
Still lots of things to tweak and massage.....
Big smile on my face though!
Maybe I am just jaded because up til now it was running SO bad....
