Carlisle newbie question, camping?
« on: July 02, 2009 - 11:04:32 AM »
Hi all!
I'm about 70% sure I'm going this year. I've never been. I'm wanting to go more to meet you guy's and gals more than the show. But I do need a few things. I just bought this camper conversion van to rip apart for a work truck, but was thinking hey it would be perfect to camp with at the show before I rip all the camping crap out. Do I need to book a site before hand or just show up? Can you stay right at the show or is camping offsite? Seeing it's a van can I come and go or do I have to stay there ? I was thinking of dinner saturday night with you guys?  My inlaws live about 1 1/2 hours away so I could stay there but I'm thinking it would be more fun to stay at Carlisle?
Thanks Brad

Hey Brad,
I have a double truck and trailer space 20x40 inside the fairgrounds. I will leave my trailer there but should be plently of room for you. Not sure how to get you in, but maybe they will give me a pass for my truck and my show car?? You can give me a call if you want to try to work something out 704-231-4446.

Hey Mark that real nice of you! Thanks :2thumbs: I'm heading out tomorrow to try and get my passport renewed.  I'll know better tomorrow if I'm going for sure.I have a Chev ( sorry LOL ) conversion van that I plan to strip to make a work van out of it. So I thought I'd use it for camping in at Carlisle before it gets stripped.
