removing corrosion from battery cables
« on: July 15, 2009 - 01:51:40 AM »
This has nothing to do with my Cuda.  My F150 had some green corrosion growing on the negative battery cable at the battery post.  My method of cleaning is a wire brush, water and baking soda.  Once cleaned, I put a coating of dielectric grease on the battery post and the cable.

If there's a better way of doing this, I'd like to hear from yous.  This is what my dad taught me years ago.

Just did the same to the Aggravater , made up a cup of warm water & baking soda & soaked the end then brushed clean... 5-yr old Battery had died.
