Seat Belts install

Ok so I put the restored rear belts in and now I'm second guessing myself.  But its just been to long ago when I removed them. Ok female ends go toward the center... no prob. Heres the question. Are they bolted in flat to run up the back of the cushion or are the supposed to form the letter "c" when they go up the seat cushion? Hence flip the bracket over....

Mine are bolted it flat with the belts going up and flat onto the seat bottom.

Thanks for the imput ,thats what I did.    But then you start thinking, was that that way when I took them out 5 months ago....
