1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Thanks all for the welcome's , small update I found a 440 and 727 for cheep its out of a 1977 motor home, good running motor did a run test for a half hr and worked the trans a bit. I did a test stab with it today and it looks like i have to change the tail shaft its a good 4 to 5 inches to short for the trans cross member mount.  :working:

Nice score on the 440 too bad about the trans being the short style I believe if I remember correctly that the whole transmission will have to be taken apart just to change the tail shaft it needs a longer output shaft to go with the longer tail shaft.  :rofl:

Yes, that's true. you should have asked first! Motorhome 440's ain't the best either because of the cams, compresions, oil pans, exhuast and motor mounts.  It can all be made to work though. Good luck and welcome FROM GARDNER KANSAS.

Sweet ride 72rtchallenger, ya i have found out the hard way but im learin as i go :cooldancing: i have found a long shaft that should work out. I went ahead and did a test stab "after changing the oil pan and motor mounts".looks good all i think i have left is getting the trans rebuilt. I don't have clue one where to start so i will prob take it some wher.
