....thru the years I have had many of my MOPARS (and now GTO Judges) photographed by many photographers and they have appeared in dozens of magazines and books and numerous magazine covers...even this month "Collectible Automobile" has one of my old MOPARS, a Panther Pink Challenger T/A, on the cover shot by an old friend Nicky Wright
...Nicky called a time or two per year to shoot my cars and various other cars I lined up for him....Nicky trusted my judgement on what was good and what wasn't good to do...I watched Nicky like no other photographer I worked with, I liked his style...Nicky taught me how to take pictures of automobiles and treat them as art, using color and shape to make them a little extra, he said anyone could "push the button"...I shoot pix of cars all the time as a hobby and everytime I set up a car I think, "would Nicky do it this way"
...I knew he had passed, but never knew the details...he was apparently way more famous than he ever told me....I knew he did rock stars and naked women, but not to the extent he really did...I realized tonight he was a master of his trade
...my best memory, I once asked Nicky why he quit taking pictures of naked girls and photographed old cars, seemed odd to me....Nicky told me in his english accent, "well, after you've seen one beautiful lady naked, all the rest look pretty much alike...but cars are all different"
RIP old buddy....sorry it took me so long to figure out where you went, and thanx once again for my 15 minutes of fame
