Leaf spring bushings
« on: July 16, 2009 - 09:17:19 AM »
Hello All. I have a 1974 challenger that I broke some of the studs on the leaf spring perch (not the shackle). I bought a nice set of perches with the bolts from a 1970 challenger off ebay. I went to put them on the 1974 spring, but the bolt will not fit in the bushing sleeve. It is to big. It won't even fit in the 1974 perch. I don't mind replacing the bushing, but I wanted to make sure that the bushing I buy has the correct size sleeve. Does anyone know where I could purchase the correct bushings?
Thanks,

Robert :pullinghair:

I've got a set of Energy Suspension bushings I can measure... What is the diameter of your bolt?

you could just pop the studs out of the old & newer hangers & swap them into the old hangers & reuse them

I will get the measurement of the bolt and some pics. Removing the studs is a good Idea as well.

Thanks for the responses.
