anyone support car along rocker pinch weld?
« on: July 13, 2009 - 06:28:21 PM »
I will have the car completely gutted when I plan to place it on some type of body cart/jig.  I was thinking to support the 73 cuda at the front suspension location and have square tubing along the rocker pinch welds, and also support the rear at the very rear cross member.  The reason for wanting to support it along the pinch welds is because I will be replacing both rear frame rails and then on to all floor panels.  It just seems that support it along the pinch welds would be out of the way.  Opinions or Suggestions?

When using a frame machine for pulling out crash damage most unibodies are clamped to the bed using the four corners of the pinch weld/rocker area so you should be fine.
