    Hood safey catch

    Does anyone have any pics showing the differnce between a 70 and 71 hood safety catch for a challenger?  The parts book lists 2 numbers, 1970 is 2999078 and 1971 is 3508320.  My car was built 8/31/70 so was wondering which is correct and what the differnce is between them.

    totally different latch , so your car should have the 71 grille in it so you need the later # , the 70 doesn`t clear over the grille inserts properly

    I have a latch dated 239 9.  is that a 70's style latch?
