Steering Colum to Power Steering Link
« on: August 08, 2004 - 02:53:01 AM »
Does anyone know why the steering colum and steering box will not fully seat in place?  I have a 71 Challenger with a 440.  I have new hoses, another mechanism and power steering colum (just in case) and a new box seal kit, but can not understand why the steering box will not go together.  The car has been this way since I bought it.  It drives fine but does have a little play in the wheel.

Any ideas?

there is a small pin in the housing that could be blocking it right near the top of the coupler
