OK, well. Here it is. Spent a good part of the late afternoon and evening cleaning her up. And then the battery died. Have it on the trickle charger. Hopefully it will take it overnight. The radio and the a/c kept cutting off and on during a short test drive after I jump started it. I'm hoping because they werent getting any juice from the battery.
The transport arrived in 6 days, as quoted, and the car was undamaged :wow:, with no additonal miles on it  so I'm a happy man...for now!

thought about it, but didnt want to push the car. It is 38 years old, and has only 3000 miles on it the past 5 years. Could have made a great road trip, but with the tag issue (I cant register it without having it inspected here) I decided against it.
As for the 5 to 7 days, of course its possible he could be here the next day, but.. the carrier will probably be making 5 or 6 stops all over the eastern seaboard before making it down here. I will probably be the last stop on the run.

you guys get inspected?

hell, they could care less what we drive here in sarasota.

glad you got your car all safe and sound, shes a beauty!!!    :woohoo:

actually, I only had to have the title application notarized as to the correct vin #. Got my new tag today, the blue "antique" tag, but thats only temporary. Ordered "440-6PAK" on the personal plate. Takes about 6-8 weeks for that to come.

I'm enjoying it, even if it just means staring at it in the garage.
My wife now knows the cuda as my mistress. Ive actually only driven it 4 or 5 times around the neighborhood since I got it one week ago today, and once it quit...ran out of gas (I think, not sure cause the gauge isnt working) and battery died at the same time! Its a new battery, but I have to check it. It does seem to have a gremlin in the system somewhere though. I'll get it as I have the time to work on it, and discover more about it. Heck, I'm still finding switches and little quirks I didnt know about, though the car is really in very good condtion. Other than a couple very minor nicks in the paint on the door edges and trunk lid, which I touched up, the paint and body is really excellent, and the interior and under the hood are also in very good looking condition, so right now, other then electrical issues, I am very happy with it.

Looks really nice.

How about some interior shots?

Be sure to check the brake fluid and brakes in general.  Don't want to have that beautiful car get stuffed in a tree or worse, hurt you and/or your wife.

NOt a fan of the wheels, but everything else is looking great!

Gas gauge is probably that sending unit.  And too bad the aftermarket can't make a good sending unit either. :stomp:

Prior owner told me it was definitely the sending unit, and its brand new. I will flush the brake fluid soon...got the oil and filter done this past weekend, and detailed the car...my first weekend with it. Coolant looks fresh...but how bout the a833 4 speed. Should I replace the tranny fluid? It has 3000 miles on it, but it could be as much as 6 years old.
The wheels are Weld prostars which, along with the billboards I didnt care much for either, but theyre both growing on me. The wheels are 15x8 all around, with a 1" different backspace in the rear. Radial TAs are 235-60 front and 275-60 rear.
And what about the fuel pump? Its a blue holley, or so I'm told, and they are apparently very unreliable and VERY noisy. Isnt there a reliable pump that cant be heard over the sound of an idling 440?

I've got a Mallory 110 that I built an isolated bracket for.  It's very quiet.
