The metal dash frame is a suede paint if that is what you mean?

Suede is "low gloss". Not as flat at flat or matte paint, but it has less gloss than-semi gloss.  ;)

Check the backs of these two 1970 paint chip charts for the suede colors;

They do say Chrysler & Plymouth but the paints are the same for your two Dodges.

is there a "texture" to the paint, or is it smooth to the touch?

But will an auto paint store mix it up in a spray can for me? I would think that would be an "off the shelf" item. Unless the suede part needs to be special mixed into the black.

Ok, so no suede finish, just the plain trim black... should give the desired flat and durable finish.
Thanks. I'll make a couple calls around to find it.

I just did mine, was green suede and hard to find, but was a exact match from a small portion that was still orginal, got it from Kolor Korrect/Mopaint @ 732-846-1044, went on good but is expensive.
