Torque Box Dimensions Anyone??
« on: July 26, 2004 - 12:31:43 PM »
??? I need help with the measurements for the torque boxes that were installed on the 70-71 convertable e-body high performance cars. I would like to build my own but don't know what the dimensions are and how they looked for sure. I am going with weld in frame rail connectors and some other strengthening additions but need these dimensions to complete the stiffening job. Anyone have any info? I know where you can go buy some aftermarket ones but there is little details about them other than a picture.
Thanks!  :D

Hmmm, my B-body station wagon has them, but I don't think the sizing would be the same.

Thanks, they probably wouldn't be the same. I'll just make up my own design I guess, I thought there would be someone out there who had done this. I could buy some from autorust.com but just like to do it myself if possible.
Thanks!
