Also, make sure you put clips on the u joint caps that go into the rearend since they center it. I don't know how many times I have seen them left off because people think since they are not in the driveshaft, they are not needed.

Locally it is around $100 , it shopuld be cheaper where you are unless labor rates are $!20 / hr there
check the slip yolk first , the 904 is different from the 727/833

:clueless: I would not know what to look for, to tell you the truth..
the slip yolk would be where the driveshaft starts..correct? it looks like this ---(
I am sure the spline count is correct, because it slips over the tailshaft without issue, and turns the tailshaft of the trans.

Are the splines  of the slip-yolk different lengths? How much overlap do the splines needfrom the tailshaft to the slip-yolk?

BTW:I still can't access Autohobbydigest.com - It keeps saying 403 forbidden.
can you help me with a Copy paste fromt he website?

Thanks again guys,

Dan

If it slips on the output shaft, the yoke is a 727.

YEAH!!!! At least that is something that is right!

If all goes well, I should get the tailshaft today/tomorrow. I have no idea on what is involved with that, but there's a first time for everything....
I will take the driveshaft in to get it shortened Wednesday- 80$ est. 1day turn around

any chance you have one of these?........ or a good bench vice?

That tool in the big vice is great for saving the u-joint if you see that it's new and worth saving or if you upgrade the spline yoke. They will loan you a larger ball joint C press at AutoZone too.
