Vacume advance
« on: August 02, 2009 - 10:53:57 AM »
So i like running that vacume advance on my 360 (it improves gas mileage a bit).

But, when I run it, the car surges badly under light throtle cruise.

I think the vac can is adjustable.  Would the surge be caused by to much advance or to little.

Any help would be appreciated.

No expert here for sure but are you taking vacum off the correct port. The one w/o vac at idle..  :dunno:

Surge can be caused by too much advance.

Yes.  the car does not surge when the vacume advance is disconnected.

I'm having the same problem.  How do you adjust the vacuum advance?  I've got the MP distributor from the Elec. Ign. conversion kit.

small allen wrench inserted into the vacuum nipple , counterclockwise reduces advance
