This whole thing is a farce.

They are ruining otherwise good parts that could have been sold to someone who CANT afford to trade in their "clunker" but needs transportation.

This is just going to force those who cant swing a new car into a deeper hole, or to public transportation.

(THAT, I believe, is the goal of this whole thing.....drive the "need" for public transportation up....get more cars off the roads...clunkers or not....)

I am not syaing that some old cars shouldn't be put out of their misery but.....
We''l all be driving Priuses and "smart cars" if Obama and company have their way....why should THEY care...they all have limos. LOL  Wonder when Obama is going to get a Prius-limo? :jumping:

Anything our sweet govt.gets involved with smells like crap.Who is gonna recover this garbage they are putting in these engines when they get scrapped? Before you know it they will be telling us all that we have to turn in our cars or face large fines. :2cents:
Maybe our own govt. should take a look at all the political idiots that burn huge amounts of fuel by being chaufered around in limo's.

I agree with you but I think the gov't forgot they were put here to serve us, not for us to serve them.
