Dutch Brothers Fabrication - Crazy Eight Lift And K Member Remover

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be pulling the engine and trans from my 71 Challenger for the new 5 speed and refresh the engine and I saw that Dutch Brothers has what they call a Crazy Eight Lift And K Member Remover.  It looks like an easy way to do the job from the bottom.  However I can't justify spending the $350.00 for using it once or twice.

I was just wondering if anyone had one out there that I could borrow for a while?  Obvously I would pay for the freight to and from I just can't justify spending that money for a one time use. Thanks

Looks good, but you could make your own with some square tubing and a few wheels. I'll bet someone on here has already done it!

Looks like it would be easy to fabricate.  Four castors and some square tubing, probably cost you less than $100 in parts.

I made this (pictured) then attached it to a 1000 lb capacity mover dolly I bought at Harbor Freight.

Then I bought the smaller one and X crossed connecting the two together using bolts mounting the angle iron thru the wood frame for support for the 2 dollies.
This rear dolly will be for the tranny weight to be supported.

I just use pads to go under a snowmobile , 3 pads for $50 with the castors & hold 1000 lbs
