Arrrghhhh. - Parts help

Hey guys,

I just busted the little bushing on my distributor (the one on the shaft just below the main body.   

Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for a small block dstributor.  I have looked and cannot find one.

I still see those all over junk yards, but some that I've seen have a metal ring down there instead of that plastic type part with that expansion pin in it. Maybe remove the pin, put on some kind of fiber washer for lubrication, then get a small ring with 2 allen set screws from the hardware or hobby shop.  There is no up and down motion to the distro shaft anyway, but you want it to stay in place.  Did you know that you can take the top off of a points style distributor and put you electronic stuff on it?  Look down the shaft top after removing the pad.

The dealer and NAPA said they do not have the part, or a rebuild kit.

I ended up going to the wrecking yard a pulling a dizzy from an old van. The bushing was a little different (like the on in the ebay add) and the roll pin hole would not line up.  So I ended up switching out the main shafts.  Seems like the dizzy now has much less play up and down.    

Cleaned out all housing and lubbed everything up. I got it all back together yesterday and its working.
