Finally got some paint on it!
« on: August 01, 2004 - 02:43:33 PM »
After almost the whole summer of weekend body work,  I finally sprayed some paint on it this weekend.  Now I'll be out burning rice in no time!

Oh Yea,  I'm also planning on putting on some black billboards.   Got to let it cure a few days and buff it out first. ::)

The interior is all black.   The paint started as Vitamin C but I told the paint guy to mix it so the orange is brighter.  So I guess its now a custom color?  Anyway, its not as bright as it seems in the pictures but its gonna look great with those black billboards.  8)

Great job! That colour really pops out at you, doesn't it? 8)
What kind of prep work did you do on it to begin with?

Well, when I got the car,  the quarter panels and roof (underneath the vinly top) had some major rust issues.
I got a body shop to fix that as I'm not much of a metal worker.  After a few disagreements with the body shop, I decided to finish the rest myself.  I sanded the car all the way down, replaced front and lower valences because the old ones where too bent to fix, and used a little bondo on dents and dings here and there. But glad all that's finally over!
