I am going over all the parts I have collected and am unsure if I will use the 73-74 Barracuda floor in the 70 vert.
Back when no one made new ones it was all I could do. I have the new AMD rear floors. And thinking maybe I should also get the new AMD whole front section instead of drilling the spot welds, blasting and epoxy priming the old one I have.
As thing would have it the front floors in the car were good just the drivers side needed a very small patch. But they {body shop it used to be at}cut the whole thing out anyway :villagers: And the yearone patches were smaller than what they cut out thus me needing to get a whole section used{now avalible new}

I askd this before and yes I know you can make the non flanged ones work.
But will it look bad? be weak? Do they realy have to be flanged?
Need to get to work drilling the spotwelds, blasting and priming on the used floor if thats what i am going to use. Or sepnd my time working on something else

A few shots of what it looks like
{note} Yes I know it looks ok but when you push down on the 3/4pans so they are on the frame and cross member then are short 1" so now needs a whole front section.

I have no experience with adding the non-flanged floors in the 70 models.  However, I have heard that the 72-74 rockers had a different support system to hold the floor in place.  This is why the 70 had th flange to weld to the side of the rocker, because the rocker does not have the horizontal features.  This is what I have heard, and I do not recall a horizontal structure on my 70 cuda when I replaced the floors in it.

You can reference the pictures on my website to see a one piece floor being installed in my 70 Cuda.

I also have really good prices on floor pans if you are interested in a 70 flanged style floor pan.  I carry both AMD and Sherman parts.  The panel I installed in the cuda was from Sherman and I was very pleased with the fit once complete.  However, AMD has a very nice floor as well.  I also have a 15% off sale on AMD products through 9/15/09.  Reference the Sales forum on Cuda-Challenger.com for the details of this sale.

Thanks,

Daniel

Thanks for the quick reply. I think You emailed me back with a cost and shipping but hate to buy something if I do not needed it.
Also Do not want to just toss it together and have it look hacked up.

If there is no real downfall in the use of the GoodMark ones I will just go that route.
If there is I will just spend the extra$$ and get AMD. The saving are not worth it if they do not fit as good and wil create a ton of work
As it is I have goodmark quaters that I will make work on the drop top, and the AMD trunk floor{1piece} and extentions.

You are correct, I did send you pricing.  I also sent you the additional AMD pricing today.  Be sure to mention any promotional codes in the future.  I really did forget that you were a C-C.com member, but then remembered before I clicked the send button.  The promotional offer is only extended to C-C.com members.

Thanks,

Daniel
