In Need of A/C Compressor or Repair Facility
« on: September 09, 2009 - 10:42:52 PM »
Hi Gang, We tried to charge up the A/C system today on my 71 Cuda 383 only to find out the compressor is bad as well as the high pressure cutoff switch. Can anyone recommend a place to send mine to have it refurbished? or does anyone know of someplace I can purchase one. All of the vital components have been replaced with new already, ie drier/condensor.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I bought a re-built compressor for my '74 from a guy from Texas who was advertising them on ebay a few years ago.    After I got it installed and had a few extra bucks, I sent my original for a re-build (at the time, I was trying too hard to keep my '74 all original)   So.... I have a spare and I think they are all the same from '70 to '74.....      I can look to see if I still have his name.... Send me a PM
