G/BOX number help.
« on: August 30, 2009 - 08:46:43 AM »
I can get my hands on an E body 833 but would like to run the numbers past the experts and find out what it is,first off it is supposedly recoed and is painted orange all over and has a cluster shaft with US steel marked on the end,the numbers are as far as I can make out are PP833 2710028 and R21H9G20412 and on the side it looks like a date of 25-1-1,can any one figure this one out?

 PP833 - 833 - 4-speed

2710028 - One number is missing, there should be 8 total.

R21H9G20412 - One letter & one number missing, but from the part you have the VIN is from a B-Body built at St. Louis. It will work in an E-Body just fine.

I thought so? I could be wrong though.  :dunno:

A-Body A-833s only had one mount for sure, which would not be possible for a 9G car like this one.
