Does this seem like a good deal?

so I found a 73 challenger, the body is solid except for the trunk pan and rear 1/4s

it comes with a back half of a 71 challenger with new 1/4s and trunk pan and good trunk, also 727 trans and '78 (he thinks) 440 engine that runs well, boxes of parts for it too

has an RT hood, comes with interior parts but is missing tails and headlights/grill (I have those anyways)

I would be buying it for the 71 back half since thats where my only rust is, and the RT hood. Also the 440 might be dropped in the car to keep it moveable while my other 440 is being built

I would be selling the 73 body, maybe I'll put the extra 727 trans that comes with it and a 318 in my charger parts car in it and sell it on ebay to try and get my money back, the car is supposed to be solid except for the trunk pan, but I have no use for it

do you think I could sell the 73 body and other parts and recoup my money?

so for $2700, good deal? would I be able to get a RT hood and 440 and some small things I need for less somewhere you think. Keep in mind what Id be getting back out of the rolling 73, I would put my flat steel hood on it, get the title, assemble the interior, and put some "turbine" wheels on it that I have

Depending on where you live, I would research the title before doing anything. That way no surprises later when you go to sell. The price seems good. Like cudadave72 said though....

The title thing may be an issue depending on the state you live in. It could be painful to title and insure, and it would also be difficult to sell. Maybe that's why its such a good deal.
Check into your state rules before you do anything.

   Make sure you find out about getting the title before you put your money in the car.  It does sound like a good deal but dont jump in without knowing you can get the title.  Some states dont have titles for that old of car but find that out before you do anything.
