So would 72 fenders and headlight buckets work with the 70 grille?
they will work but does take some work,,you have to get the backing plates that weld in off a 70 fender,and weld in to the 72(,71 may work),,then on the marker light you can cut it out over the 72 marker light and recess the edge for proper fit for the marker bezel or get front section of the area of the marker and weld on to the 72,,and if you look at the 72 fender headlight area ,you will see that the edge is flat were the 72 grill housing mounts to the fender,,if you slightly bend that edge in to a 45% degree angle as the 70 is made,, and in the lower area its easier to weld in a small tab for the lower screw hole in the bezel ,,it will work as i did this to mine,,the easy way is to buy the new 70 style fenders,,mine look great it just requires some patience an work
