Please help with my hood emblems...

I need to get these emblems on my new (new to me anyway) R/T hood.  I'm not sure if the little pink things are the proper holders. If they're not, could someone please post a picture of the correct ones and tell me how to install them?

  If these are the right ones, could someone tell me how to install them? There is almost no access from the rear or inside of the hood. I'm beginning to think that the pink thing slides over the post on the emblem and you push it on from the outside of the hood.....
 I'd greatly appreciate some help!

Install the insert in the hood hole then push the emblem on.

i put the sleeve on the pin first, then snapped the emblems into the hood, they are nice and snug.

Just like a wall anchor! LOL
On the hood that I bought, the emblems were on but the anchors were toast, so after painting, I used good ol duct tape wrapped on the posts, pushed them in and they are  It's a Ratty R/T after all, gotta have duct tape

i've always seen the little sheet metal "speed" nuts on the back side.  but if you can't get to them, then maybe these sleeves were used.

I think you can get to the front one, not sure bout that though and too cold to go check brrrrr...

Barrel nuts came on mine..the plastic should work as well

I '' HAD '' 5 of those little suckers, now I have none.......2 of them are lost in the hood somewhere, the other 3 got squished or they split down the side.
It seems that you have to slide them over the post at a very specific location or they won't work.
Lucky for me I have a full roll of 200 MPH tape!!!

It's a trial and error thing with the tape, It has to be enough to hold the emblem but not so much you can't get it all the way down, it took me a couple of tries to get it right
