another Mopar new guy
« on: May 01, 2014 - 01:02:14 PM »
Hey, guys and gals.

Been on the site lurking for a while.  Have had a couple Chryslers through the years but never a classic.  First car (in 1986) was nearly a 1970 Cuda with a 383 4sp with pistol shifter.  It had a full roll cage in it and it scared my mother to death.  Ended with a Chevy and then two weeks later she told me she realized it was probably pretty safe with that roll cage in it. :banghead:

Anyways, figured it was time to stop lurking, jump in, and start looking for that classic Mopar project.  You guys have a lot of info on this site.  Thanks for sharing. :worshippy

Definitely enjoy looking for just the right car. There was a 71 BS23 Cuda project on ebay in the race cars a few months ago. Had title and a cage (like the one I missed) but the orig 383 was missing and a 440-4sp was in it. Really should have pulled the trigger.  :hyper:  It is the one that made me get off the fence!

:iagree: The hunt is almost as much fun as the building of the car which is almost as much fun as driving the car. :burnout:
