Color of license plate light bezel

My license plate light bezel and lens were both painted black, and not painted very well
I might add so I stripped the paint off the bezel and there is a nice silver finish on the bezel can any one tell me which color is correct black or silver its a 70 Cuda thanks for the help.

Sure no problem. 

Ever been pulled over because your license plate light wasn't on? I've been pulled over at least 3x's over the years for that in the past.

One time it was on and then the cop said "Well it was off before I stopped you."
