Surging gas tank sound

First of all hello to everyone that is still on this site...it's been too long.


Anyways, Chryco when I pull in the garage and shut her off, there's an audible surging/sucking sound from the tank.....surge....stop.....surge etc (2 second intervals).
Lasts for half a minute or so. Removing the gas cap makes no difference.
refresher: 440 six with charcoal cannister and calif. recirc. lines to the tank (which is new as well as the sender).
Any ideas? She's running great.

Could it just be fuel sloshing in the tank?  Mine makes a similar sound and I just always figured it was that.

s'pose that could be it...I do tend to rum it around a 1/4 tank so that gas doesn't get too old.
It's so rhytmic though and it hasn't always made that sound

Try parking it with a full tank. With a 440-6, I'm sure even a full tank can be used up pretty quickly so it probably won't get toooo old
