Bill and I had a great time (and great weather) at the Don Garlits show, which was early November.  A few weeks after that is the Turkey Rod Run at the Daytona speedway infield (about 4000 cars).  So that leaves you with Jan-April if you don't want to compete with them or the holidays.  Anything from May until October is just too dang hot.

I have been looking for a good excuse to go down.   I'd go, I used to live down there and would like to go back.  :cooldancing: In the heat of summer not good but during or after the winter blues up here would be nice.

How about the weekend after the Garlits show?  Then many can hit the Garlits show then travel down to Orlando, hit the parks for a week, then go to a show the weekend after that.

I guess another good question is "Would you attend even if you weren't bringing a car?"

We flew into the MATS and Carlisle.....  :dunno:

I've learned you also have to watch when spring break is when planning Florida trips. Hotels rates/airfare ect

Will this be a mopar only show or a "bring what you got" car show?  Either way it's too far for me to drive to but my wife truely believes that Disney World is the happiest place on earth.  I humor her with a trip there about every other year.  The things we do.  LOL  We usually stay a week or so.  With enough notice, we could plan our next trip at the same time and stop by to say howdy.

When is the Garlits show?

This would be an all makes/models kind of thing.

And Disney World is the Happiest Place on Earth (TM)

When is the Garlits show?

It is usually the first weekend in November.  Then you have the Turkey Rod Run (all makes and models) at Daytona Speedway on the Thurs-Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.

I'm going to post this in the show section as well, but I wanted to follow up here since I'd brought it up. I finally got to talk to someone at Disney. Turns out that they have a guy whose job is to try to develop business related to the automobile enthusiast market, and they're already planning something similar to what I was doing. For anyone who's interested, the show is called Dream Cars, and it will take place over Labor Day weekend this year, at the Coronado Springs resort on Disney property. If you want more info, ask here, look at the post I'll put up later in the Shows and Drags section, or send me a PM.

hopefully i can get my a/c up and running by then!  figure on low 90's for Labor day weekend.  maybe rain, maybe not.  the rainy season has been all over the map for the last few years here.  if the rain stays away, i would be interested.
