leaf spring bushing question
« on: September 22, 2009 - 07:58:10 PM »
I Purchased Mopar Performance springs part #'s P4452984 & P4452985 and after I spent about an hour removing the rubber bushing I found out the poly bushings in my energy suspension kit included a front bushing measuring 2" in diameter and the eyehole in the spring only measures 1.5".  I looked on Energy Suspensions website along with Moogs and found no listing for a 1.5" poly bushing. When i was in Autozone today I had them look in their computer and the found only the 2" .  Does anybody know a supplier and part# where i can solve my prob?  Thanks -Jim

I had the same issue with my stocker rear springs. Energy kit came with large bushings and I had the smaller openings. Took them back to the seller and he replaced with what I needed. They have a catalog number for them. Autozone might not be the right retailer to find this out as the default seems to go to the 2".

I just happened to be in autozone for something else, didnt expect them to have them.  where did you get yours.  Energy Suspensions doesnt show such a beast on their website and all the rest of my bushings are from them.

I pruchsased the "complete" Master Bushing set from Energy Suspension which inluded 2-sets of front eye bushings.. I needed the smaller set, I guess not the 2"... See if they list in their universal section, if not submit a question to them... Odd that every listing is for the 2".

Know a friend with a lathe? Turn down the poly to fit.

For some reason I though the 2" spring eye was used primarily before 1970 and everything else after that was 1.5
