Interesting info, Sean.  Sad to hear they won't be making diecast anymore...  :(
Yeah it is.  My first diecast (of my adult life) was a 1970 Chally by ERTL.

What company and scale did you find? How much?

I have a pair of '72 Challenger models - an unassembled  Otaki 1/24 scale (even has an electric motor) and a "barely started assembly" MPC 1/25 scale Dick Landy Pro Stocker.

:o  Whoa!  I think we are in a very small club here with the Otaki model!!!

Is yours Plum Crazy Purple with flames from the Rock Machines of Hawaii series???  :clueless: Has cool almost brushed aluminum looking style slotted mags with really nice grippy rubber tires??  I made and still have that model from about 30 years ago.  The pic in my sig are from a newer ARII version.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I'm at work right now,  :clueless: but I recall my box has a yellow Rallye in OEM configuration on it.

It's one like a poster here, bullit, suggested. It's a Lindberg 1:25 model.
I forgot about this thread, just ran into it again a couple of weeks ago. With the Lindberg-search I found crazee-deals on Ebay.
Just cost me $ 9.99 and $23.00 shipping ( :D)

I will get it together on a cold winter-evening, a one my wife can keep het hands off of my perfect, schwarzenegger-like body :roflsmiley:

I wonder if it has a metal gear box assembly if it's the one I'm thinking of?  :clueless:  I'll have to see what other version I have...

Yes, metal bracket and axle, plastic gears and a motor about 1"x3/4".
Body parts molded in white, interior in black and has a chrome parts tree too!

Gotta run - going to a race in Maryland. :woohoo:  :burnout:

:clueless: Are you saying that a Challenger ("model" or full size) isn't gorgeous, sexy and with curves in all the right places? Not a timeless beauty that you would spend a lot of money on and enjoy the company?  :screwy:

LOL

BOTH  :smilielol: but the one with the tires will get me in less trouble and has far less maintenance!!

Thanks. It's been a while for a national event.
:clueless:Some of the cars look a little familiar, but I can't place the name at the moment. :banghead:
