how do Challenger fenders attach to the body...
« on: May 22, 2010 - 04:16:13 PM »
Bolts I know, but right in front of the passenger door, where the fender attaches at the bottom of the car, mine is flapping in the breeze.  I see no spot where a bolt would mount it to the body. This is a new development.. The driver side, the metal looks as if it is welded on the underside to attach it.

There should be a threaded mount behind the lower fender on each side. Don't feel bad - I've cut many welded fender bottoms off of old cars. Some body shops just don't care and the customer rarely sees it.

On each side there should be...two studs, two U-nuts to hold the studs in the body  and two regular nuts with large body washers to hold the fender to the rocker.
