seat spacers

Did the factory use the round seat spacers on all the seats or just for certain ones, like 6 way, bench etc.

most seats use nothing , adding 1/2 " of spacers under the front of the seat can greatly enhance leg room though for long legged people like me

After replacing the carpet in my car I noticed that the seat bolts seemed a bit long.  I accidentally found out about seat spacers.  Are you saying that my car may have never used the spacers, and that they were optional?  :clueless:

have taken seats out of several old mopars includeing the one i own now,,and never found any spacers

I think if you use the spacers you sit way to high.

Spacers are not OE, but they were available through dealerships if a client needed a little extra height.

You can add 1/2 inch spacer to just the front bolts & gain leg room yet height is hardly effected.
  Try it you'll like it.

Wow, this is an amazingly imely subject.  I always feel that I site really low in my challenger, I will be adding some 1/2 spacers, especially since the previous owner installed a 3" hood scoop.  Will definiely help.

Wonder if hockey pucks will work   :cooldancing:

When I worked in the CPD dealership back then we did modify some of the seats that way to make some tall enough to see over the hood and give more leg room to others.   :2cents:

That makes perfect sense. I wondered why the bolts seemed excessively long (no spacers under my seats). I had thought it was to give you plenty of warning if the nuts were backing out  8)

I'm 6' 3" and always put spacers (a couple of big ol' nuts) under the front seat posts of my challengers.  Its the only way to get comfortable.  Add as much spacer as you need to get comfortable. 

1" is about right for me.  Gives a lot better thigh support and moves your upper torso away from that steering wheel.

I seriously doubt that any spacers came from the factory...although dealers may have suggested it.
