Idiot drivers in my neighborhood
« on: October 07, 2009 - 11:15:32 PM »
Well it happened again.

Another East bay "Yo mo fo"  "I'm gonna race my race car Corolla right into the curb near your house trying to show the world what a great driver I am."

I live near a busy intersection in Fremont. Every month there's tires squeeling for mercy as they race around the corner.

Serves him right.
His right front tire is all bent in. He's lucky he didn't hit the tree nearby instead. I've seen it happen about six months ago here. One of these days I'll be calling the Ambulance.

So the neighbors call 911. (I should have)

And the cops show up. and I hear the story from the neighbors about a girl yelling outside of the car at the guy in the car who was driving..."Take these handcuffs off me" as she's dropping the F bomb all over the neighborhood. They ran off but it looks like they found the girl is safe and were heading over to talk to her.

Only in Freakmont.   :screwy:

Sux for the rest of us but the city has been putting in speed bumps on the neighborhood through streets.... Your average car needs to slow to about 10MPH or get a good thump on the bottom...My Dakota pickup the faster you go the less bump ya feel  ;)

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac and yet I still see idiots drive through. My next door neighbors teenage daughter was having a fight with her boyfriend a while back and he took off like a bat out of hell with the tires squealing. The next time I saw him I told him that he could kill someone driving like that and if I ever caught him doing it again his girlfriend would be the least of his worries!!!! I must of done the girl a favor because I never saw the boy again!

I live in a very narrow old street.  It`s one way traffic and cars are parked on one side of the road.  The maximum speed is 30km ( 19mph)  but more than once a day ...     I`ve seen speeds as high as 30-40mph  :swear:     I`ve scared quiet a few of those fools by stepping in front of the car, but when you have kids playing there with all those cars parked and you hear another idiot flooring it, you just hold your breath...
most of the time they are baseball-capped fartcancowboys with no brain whatsoever, but all the time it`s people with no kids...

I feel your pain. I live in a quiet neighborhood, but the steet we're on is a popular cut-thru and they often fly thru. Twice in the past year we have literally had a car end up in our front yard. The last time was a drunk woman about 60 years old that actually lived in our neighborhood that hit our parked van. Go figure. Sometimes I'd like to throw some roofing nails out! :swear: :stomp:

Last week I actually saw some idiot in a Ford pick-up doing burnouts across the cross walk in front of Walmart.  This is where there is a constant stream of 3 year olds running out.

The goal never changes - Stop the 60' timer with your back tires
