Biggest/Widest Rear Wheel and Tire combo for 70 Cuda

Does anyone know the biggest rear wheel/tire combination that can be used on a stock 70 Cuda with a 8 3/4 rear end and drum brakes?

The best look I have seen is a 17x8 wheel with 4 1/2" BS and 255/60-17 tires.  You might be able to get a 275 tire, but that would be pushing it.  You can go bigger on the wheels as you reduce the tire ratio (45, 40 series, etc), but I'm not a fan of the rubber band look.  You might also be able to go up to a 10" width, but again that would be pushing it and would probably require a 1" offset for the leaf.

I have 295-50 R15 on my 73 chally with rear drums.

I agree , a 295 /50 on an 8 " rim should fit

I had 295/50/15's with a 8.5" wheel on the Cuda. Fit good...

the tire size should be fine as long as the rim offset is OK
